He lectures on income tax law and value added tax law. He has published widely, locally and internationally, on ecommerce, value added tax, and income tax. His research covers various jurisdictions and it has influenced South African Tax Law. A number of his recommendations were adopted by the South African Parliament.

He is also a Professorial Fellow of Law at the National University of Singapore. Recipient of Vice-Chancellor's award for teaching excellence, Professor Yeo's main teaching and research interests lie in the area of criminal law, especially comparative criminal law. He has taught in Australia, Canada, India, Japan, New Zealand, the UK and Singapore and published extensively in the fields of criminal law and criminal justice. Professor Yeo was previously the Chief Editor of the Singapore Journal of Legal Studies and General Editor of the Criminal Law Journal (Australia).
The Resource Person for the same is Professor Helena Whalen-Bridge, B.A., J.D., LL.M., She is an Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law. She ran the first year Legal Skills Programme at NUS Law from the year 2003 to 2009 and now teaches advanced and graduate skills courses. Recipient of the NUS Teaching Excellence Award, she was seconded to the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London in 2015, and has developed multiple courses for NUS Law, including Legal Ethics, Comparative Advocacy and Legal Argument & Narrative. She is a founding member of the Law Society of Singapore’s Project Law Help, and she worked with the UNDP Team that translated Lao laws into English.
