GIVING BACK TO GNLU
Dear Friends,
In building the future of our law students, GNLU has been encouraged by the generosity of its alumni and the well-wishers. The gifts, in the form of scholarships, bursaries or grants, have been instrumental in helping to ensure that no deserving student is left behind in the pursuit for a quality legal education and helps them lay the foundation for an outstanding career.
You can make a difference to our students by setting up a scholarship, bursary or grant, in the name of a personality or cause that you are passionate about. You can also choose to donate to some of the funds that are already in place.
You can help in a number of ways. GNLU promotes academic, training and research interaction for enhancing excellent learning and teaching, research and extension programmes for a holistic development of its students. Towards this initiative, GNLU has initiated several programs and activities contributing directly and indirectly to the holistic development of students which also includes support even after graduating from the University.
GNLU has initiated GNLU Litigation Assistance and Support Scholarship (GLASS) helping the students to practice in bar, internship/placements as from time to time asked to the University, student exchange, among others. If you are interested to support this initiative and be a part of this initiative, you can do this by contacting us and contribute in various ways and facilitate this initiative. For more details please contact Dr. Nidhi Buch on nbuch@gnlu.ac.in .
As part of strong research culture at GNLU, we have introduced the "Scholar-in-Residence" programme. The major objective of the "Scholar-in-Residence" programme is to expand and share the knowledge and expertise. This will also give an opportunity to learn about the academic and research culture of the University and further get an opportunity to interact with the students, faculty and staff members of the University. The University invites application / LOI (Letter of Interest) from the legal fraternity such as the Judiciary, Attorneys, Academicians as well as corporate professionals. The University will be pleased to host retired judges of Supreme Court or any High Courts, Practicing or retired Advocates / Attorneys and even legal professionals from the corporate world / law firms and Alumni of GNLU. For more details please contact Ms Niyati Pandey on npandey@gnlu.ac.in.
The purpose of the internship program is to provide a planned transition from the University curriculum to a personal and professional setting in a student's area of interest. During the internship experience, the student will test the practical application of the theories of academic learning in the professional setting under the guidance and supervision of both a professional staff member and a university faculty advisor. As a part of the internship experience, the student will be evaluated on his/her work attributes and contributions in the assigned work or community setting. The student will have the opportunity to continually interact with the staff in the setting and periodically with the faculty in assessing his/her skills, accomplishments, and professional growth. Your assistance in facilitating Internships for our students will be greatly appreciated. For more details please contact Mr. Nimesh Dave on ndave@gnlu.ac.in.
GNLU will issue tax exemption certificate under S. 80G of IT Act, 1961 for the donation made to it.
