1206-20/1542/01: GNLU Ranks 7th Best Law School in India
Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) has been ranked 7th best law school in the country in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ranking 2020 released today by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
GNLU has improved its rank from 9th in 2019 to 7th this year.
The parameters on which the institutes are evaluated include Teaching, Learning and Resources; Research and Professional Practice; Graduation Outcomes; Outreach and Inclusivity; and Peer Perception.
GNLU is a truly diversified law university. It has the highest intake of students among all National Law Universities (NLUs) in the country. It. It is the only NLU which offers integrated UG programmes in five different streams: B.A.LLB, B.com LLB, B.Sc. LLB, BBA LLB and BSW LLB. It is also the only NLU to have supernumerary seats for admission of the outstanding sportsperson.
Expressing his delight over the ranking, GNLU Director Dr Shanthakumar said, “we have improved our score substantially– more than 58% - on the parameter of Research and Professional Practice. This reflects the excellent research credentials of GNLU faculty. I am sure GNLU faculty and staff will continue in their commitment to improving their performance year after year.”
