Carrying forward the ancestral grail of providing legal solutions and consultancy, the Navinchandra Desai Law Foundation collaborated with Gujarat National Law University to strengthen the University's goal of being a pioneer in legal and interdisciplinary education and research. The unity aims to provide path-breaking research opportunities to not only students but legal professionals, valuing the nexus between theoretical understanding and industry practice. Scads of importance has been given to develop a rivet towards legal practice among young lawyers, keeping in view the spirit of speedy justice. The collaboration is effectuated to develop the Nation and especially the State of Gujarat into a high-level legal think tank by promoting legal and interdisciplinary research and training opportunities which are aimed to create a copper-bottomed legal structure. The Chair was established on March, 2017.
The collaborative GNLU-Navinchandra Desai Law Foundation Chair is established with the vision of providing assistance and platform to lawyers and students to develop their skills and to continue legal and interdisciplinary research and writing, get an opportunity to work with inter-governmental organizations and research centres around the globe and profess litigation as a career option.
