GNLU Law and Economics is a pioneering project, led by bright professors, enthusiastic in their mission, and determined to make GNLU an internationally leading center of law and economics.
The Centre for Law & Economics (CLE) of Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) provides an understanding of the intricate system of legal rules and regulations which edge our veracity. It provides a delightful opportunity for proficient and holistic development through access with contemporary issues of economics, law, legislation and research.
I know a few faculty members and the Centre for Law and Economics, and I can confidently say that the centre is doing tremendous work in this space. Our (IIMA) association with GNLU in general and the Centre in particular, stems from several sources including jointly organizing an annual conference on the theme of law and economics. It is great that the work at GNLU on this topic is being aggregated under a single centre.
The Gujarat National Law University developed into a renowned center of teaching and research within the discipline of “Law and Economics” in India. Under the knowledgeable and energetic leadership of Professor Ranita Nagar it attracts students and scholars of law and economics from India and from around the world. It has organized illuminating workshops and lecture series in this field and played a pivotal role in establishing the Indian Law and Economics Association.
