About Training Division
Training is an essential component to improve the knowledge, expertise, and capabilities. Several training programmes are organized based on diverse emerging research areas, latest technological tools and techniques as well as critical thinking which will refine one's skill, capacity, productivity and performance.
Training Programs at the University are structured to reflect the most relevant needs of the industry. Each program seeks to focus on new developments and latest trends in Law, technical and managerial practices in specific areas. The training divisions boast of a highly qualified and experienced, eminent resource persons and faculty members who have domain expertise in the areas of their respective training modules. The Training Division is responsible for training strategy formulation, training needs analysis, designing content and delivery methodology for conducting each and every programme.

The Training Division of Gujarat National Law University is committed to enhance and enrich the GNLU’s global reach through training and extension activities and to provide students and faculty members an international exposure in academia.
Objectives
- To maximize career development and to ensure productivity and growth as Training and development always leads to development of current competencies of the participants.
- To measure the impact of training and development programmes on the enhancement of skills and knowledge
- To measure the effect of enhanced competencies of the participants.
- To design training modules in contemporary areas of law to improve knowledge, skills and attitude and thus equip the individual to be more effective in his present job or prepare him for future assignments.
- Training provides a means for bringing about organizational development. It can be used for strengthening values, building teams, improving inter-group relations and quality of work life. The ultimate objective of training in the long run is to improve the Institutions performance through people performing better.
- To achieve the stated objective, the Training and Extension Division undertakes following activities:
- Collaborating with various institutions for joint research and training activities
- Organizing seminars, conferences and special lectures on emerging issues
- Conducting educational programmes in distance, diploma and part-time mode
- Conducting short term training and certificate courses
- Undertaking any activity or project to contribute to the realization of the aims and objectives of GNLU.
- To ensure the quality of training program by following the UGC, NAAC and BCI norms.
