The Gujarat National Law University in Gandhinagar launched a new center named center for Public International Law (CPIL) on Sunday, 3rd of October 2010 at the university premises entirely dedicated to the subject of public international law, law of the Sea, Maritime Law and other allied areas of PIL. It is proposed that the centre for Public International Law (CPIL) will be striving to undertake research studies in many areas of public international law. With the guidance and encouragement from Director of the university, Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel who is also the Founder Director of CPIL and a leading expert in international law and relations with his rich experience in international organization for several years, the CPIL shall from time to time launch research activities in the domain of Public International Law.
To become a leading nodal centre for excellence in areas of research, teaching and training on the subject of Public International Law, law of the Sea, Maritime Law and other allied areas of PIL.
With the guidance and encouragement from Director of the university, Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel who is also the Founder President of CPIL and a leading expert in international law and relations with his rich experience in international organization for several years, the CPIL shall from time to time launch research activities in the domain of Public International Law.
