LexTech, the Science Technology and Law Club of GNLU takes great pride in announcing the results of the 1st LexTech Pan – Asian Law & Technology Essay Writing Competition, 2009 on Contemporary Converging Techno – legal Issues. The competition was an effort to develop a school of thought that would acknowledge the necessity of scientific temperament in the legal scenario. The objective was to analyze the qualifying role law plays in scientific advancements and vice – versa. We are extremely glad that the objective was well taken by the participants helping in creating a knowledge pool that will mark the beginning of a new school of thought and open new horizons of legal advancements.

The winners will be awarded the prizes during the convocation ceremony of the 2004 batch of GNLU students. The date, time and venue will be informed to the winners.

All the remaining participants will receive their participating certificate after this day.

Procedure followed for evaluating the Essays:

All entries in different categories were coded by the LexTech and then sent to the experts for blind review. The top three entries from each category in coded form were then finally reviewed by Professor Bimal N. Patel, Director, Gujarat National Law University in order to select the best three entries amongst the nine and were ranked.
