About Library

Gujarat National Law University is popular for its World legal literature in addition to infrastructure, teaching and research excellence. The library shares equally in making GNLU a World-class law university. Library fosters the pursuit of academic excellence. The mission of the library is to connect people to the World of legal literature.

It is spread over four-floors with seating capacity for 300 readers at a time. The library has a vast collection of more than 35,000 volumes of books, law reports and subscribes 150 print journals, newspapers, reference books and e-books. The GNLU library has huge resources in the field of law and other allied subjects such as Management, Sociology, Science & Technology, History, Economics and English Literature.

The library occupies the largest wing in the administrative building. It provides sufficient space for physical and digital access of the library resources. It provides a comfortable, inviting facility for users. The library is fully air conditioned to create an ambience conducive to productive reading and research. It offers an environment that supports creativity, flexibility and collaboration. The library has enough space for reading, research, reference and interaction. It also has a separate ‘discussion rooms’ that are made available for group discussions. Library provides extensive e-resources access to its patrons 24x7 within and off the campus. The library is well equipped with number of computers for access of the library resources.


Library Mission

The GNLU library aims to become a repository of knowledge and research. It aims to employ efforts to establish an excellent library to act as a legal hub for anyone and everyone interested in legal research and reference. It also aims to support the teaching, learning and research needs of GNLU scholars, students and faculty by providing a rich collection of the world’s legal literature.
